This resume-enhancing opportunity is based in our Appleton office. Ideally, we’re looking for candidates who are available to work 15-20 hrs./week during office hours (8:00 – 4:30) while in school (preferably in 3 to 4-hour increments) and full time while not in school.


This is a year-round internship and will last until the student graduates. (Looking for current college sophomores or juniors)


  • Work with manager to coordinate/facilitate the quarterly 2-day New Associate Training Program
  • Assist with program preparation and set-up for training sessions
  • Assist in managing key programs by planning and promoting a variety of training opportunities for SECURA associates, including soft skills training, insurance classes, lunch n' learns, leadership program, and Microsoft courses
  • Administer routine "needs analyses" using online survey software
  • Promote and manage the Performance Development Resource Center materials
  • Document workflows and maintain the department processes binder
  • Adminsiter program evaluations and analyze results
  • Maintain and update First Day Orientation binders
  • Introduce speakers at internal sessions
  • Manage department inventory (prizes, supplies, snacks, etc.)
  • Assist with research and project work as needed



  • Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program
  • Initiative to independently take on new challenges frequently
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and tackle multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft 2010 Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong sense of humor and solid work ethic


  • Past event planning experience
  • Ability to write creatively
