The Accounting/Finance Internship is a part-time position during the school year based on class schedule and our company’s business hours (M-F, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), and a full-time position during the summer and school breaks.  The Accounting/Finance intern will gain experience in the day-to-day operations in the Finance Department, as well as have opportunities to work on projects, attend professional seminars, social events and volunteer activities that will allow you to work with a variety of people and build your professional skills.  At SECURA, you will have the opportunity to interact with all levels of management and learn what the insurance industry has to offer.

• Ensure timely processing of invoices, maintain AP workflows, and answer questions
• Assist Accounts Payable with duties as assigned
• Assist with cash management functions
• Perform analysis of expenses/revenues
• Assistance with forecasting and benchmarking analysis
• Perform audits/analysis of employee reimbursements
• Other projects as assigned by management

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Ability to learn new skills quickly
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong analytical and communication skills
