  • Overview



    • Develop and maintain a profitable book of business
    • Ability to maintain an average-sized, profitable territory
    • Work with Market Managers to review agency books of business and create an action plan to improve results
    • Review applications for new/renewal business submissions for Personal Lines accounts
    • Handle middle-range to complex accounts within Letter of Authority and with minimal supervision
    • Manage the bookroll process for agents transferring business to SECURA
    • Analyze underwriting information and when necessary, obtain additional information
    • Ensure insurance-to-value
    • Monitor loss reports and take appropriate underwriting action
    • Achieve state loss ratio, new business, DWP, and retention targets
    • Service existing policies/renewals, as needed
    • Assist in establishing rate/pricing guidelines and system underwriting rules
    • Participate in underwriting audits of peers and agencies
    • Develop agency relations and participate in agency management process, including travel
    • Assist in recruiting and training new agencies
    • Consistently show the ability to carry out deliverables of established book management discipline

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • CISR, API, CIC (Personal Lines and Agency Management), CPCU (CPCU 510-Foundations of Risk Management, CPCU 520-Insurance Operations, CPCU 555-Personal Risk Management), AU, and/or ARM course work
