  • Overview

    The duration of this position is ideally through the spring of 2020 or later, with the potential to continue through the summer and the following school year until the student graduates.

     

    Throughout the school year, this position is part time 15-20 hours per week based on class schedule and our company’s business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the summer and breaks, the position is 40 hours per week.

    Responsibilities

    • Updating forms and rules in the proper databases.
    • Support continuing education administration
    • Assist in course preparation for internal and external agent training
    • Formatting forms and rules documents and update new system documentation.
    • Assist with association administrative duties which can include member verification, scheduling renewal review meetings, and mailing contractual materials.
    • Updating the reference manuals for our various product lines.
    • Coordinate and communicate program offerings
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
    • Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
    • Detail oriented and organized.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Initiative to frequently take on new challenges.

    PREFERRED:

    • Knowledge of or interest in the insurance industry or pursuing a business degree.
    • Proficient at MS Office 2010 Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Access and/or programming experience is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Superior grammar and creative writing skills
    • Excellent organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and time-management skills
